Federico Foria | Innovation and Sustainability Ambassador for Infrastructures
Federico Foria is a civil engineer from Pomigliano d’Arco (NA). He possesses extensive experience in the design, maintenance, and management of national and international infrastructures. In 2022, he was honored by EFCA as the best Future Leader in Europe. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Department of Geotechnics, Geology, and Hydraulics, as well as the Head of Research and Development at ETS (Italy).
He represents innovation and sustainability in infrastructure at national and international committees, engaging in educational and outreach activities. Among other roles, he is a member of the Global Sustainability Committee of the International Tunnelling Association (ITA-AITES) where he serves as a representative for Maintenance and Management of underground spaces. He is the national coordinator for these issues in the Italian Tunnelling Society (SIG).
Since 2023, he has been certified as a GIF AP Practitioner, supporting the sustainability journey and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) rating in companies, infrastructures, and innovation processes. This certification enhances his expertise and awareness in promoting sustainability and ESG principles.
